The Singing Slovenes are dedicating the CD, Triglav, to the memory of Bobby Logergren and Elizabeth Smolnikar. Bobby Logergren was a member of the Singing Slovenes and the Frankie Bucar Band for over twenty years and was known for his unique style of playing "fill" accordion. Elizabeth Smolnikar was an original member of the Singing Slovenes and she was always there to greet you with a smile on her face. In her later years, a visit to see her could not be made without singing her favorite song, "Pod Mojem Okencem" (Pojdi Zmenoj). Triglav, which means three heads, is the highest mountain in Slovenia and it has been said that you are not a true Slovenian unless you have climbed Mt. Triglav at least once in your lifetime. The Singing Slovenes have not climbed Mt. Triglav yet, but they have climbed some pretty steep hills. Under the direction of Frank Bucar and assistant director Mary Spehar White, the Singing Slovenes work very hard all winter long in preparation for their performing season and recordings. While rehearsing, they have a wonderful view of the "Gary Alps", which provides them with inspiration for many of their songs. One of these songs is Edelweiss, which features the talents of guest vocalist Jill Hoffman, joined by her daughter, Leslie Bucar. Melanie Sever is also a guest musician on this song featuring her talents on the flute.
